The Four Key Traits of a "Real Man" - Post Election Edition

Hey,

This email is short and sweet...and to the point.

The tensions building up during the U.S. elections have been massive. The post-election hangover is equally challenging.

I did this video to give you immediate support and perspective for maintaining your solid sense of manhood. It's actually a "coaching video" custom made for you if you want it.

Sometimes I'll paraphrase the videos I shoot so you can read it instead.

Not this time. I just let it fly in this video in a stream of consciousness. I speak fast and furiously. It wouldn't be the same if I typed it out.

I use the phrase "real man" cautiously.

While there are many forms of masculinity, I believe the most HEALTHY masculinity is a matter of who you are BEING.

So many caricatures of manhood have been shown in the TV and film world. You may think it's an "act". You may think it's a style or persona. You may think there's a script.

I believe the foundation of a cool, calm, strong, capable man is based first in his ability to model kindness, compassion and respect.

That's the first bit of coaching I give in this video when I explain what LEADERSHIP means when you're a healthy man.

Then I give you the next 3 key traits of a healthy, "real" man.

"I don't need no stinkin' coach!"

I've had an number coaches in my life. Soccer, basketball, lacrosse and baseball were my sports. (note these all involve short sprints...short legs)

I even had a speaking coach and a training coach when I was doing teaching in the corporate world.

The idea of a "Man Coach" or "Relationship Coach" would have made me laugh out loud back then.
