How to Lead a Woman Without Being a Butthole

Published: Sun, 05/22/16

Hey,

I'm sitting in Dallas trying to get American Airlines to fly me into a volcano in Costa Rica.  Seriously.  It doesn't look good for today.

Looks like I'll need to come up with a "Plan B".  Time for a drink to help me think.

In the meantime, I'd like to share a quick tip about leadership with your woman. During this stressful trip with my girlfriend, I'm reminded of how important this is and how easy it is to screw up - especially when I'm a little irritated.

Leadership in times like this is not about being bossy, decisive, controlling or demanding.  It's all about leading yourself and your attitude.

When things go wrong (and they will) the best gift we can give ourselves and our sweetheart is the gift of a calm, upbeat, humorous attitude.

How?

In my case, as I was getting slightly annoyed, I just said,  "Hey, the WORST thing that can happen is we'll cancel this trip, take the trip insurance money and wind up on a beach in Beliz."

She quickly saw a downside.  "But I only have one swimsuit!"

"I'll buy you another when we get there." I said as if I buy her swimsuits every day.

She smiled and relaxed.  That made me smile and relax.

Do you know how it feels when your lady is happy and relaxed?

Yeah.  Of course you do.  You hold the keys to that more often than you think.

Lead yourself.  Allow her to lead with you.

Make it a team effort.  And don't wait for her to make the first move.

I wrote a new article about leadership for you.  Here I explain why leadership is more about leading yourself than worrying about who is following you.

Check it out.

Lotta love, brother,

P.S.  One of my favorite things to do is to help you in REAL-TIME with your attitude and help you lead yourself.  When you find out how to create a happier, relaxed woman...you are happier and relaxed.  Hit reply to tell me about your leadership challenges.  I will reply asap - assuming this plane doesn't crash in a volcano.
