Why You Need to Lighten Up...Francis

Published: Sun, 11/15/15

Hey,

Remember the movie "Stripes" with Bill Murray.  Of course you do.

Francis Sawyer (aka Psycho) took everything just a little too seriously.  Check out this video clip to refresh your memory.

Sometimes I need to tell myself to "Lighten up, Francis".  Sometimes I need to tell you that.

Even my videos recently have gotten kind of heavy and serious.  I need to lighten up and wanted to remind you to do the same.

There is a bigger picture than what is happening at this moment.  There is a longer view than the current frustration, pain and uncertainty you may be feeling now.

That view looks like this email I got a few days ago from one of our brothers who has turned the corner in search of his mojo. (no, I don't make this stuff up)

"My mojo is definitely at full clarity right now.  It feels great!

But I still have all of those feelings. I am relaxed, nervous, anxious, excited, and sad all at the same time. Yet, I am not letting any of those things affect my complete judgement. It is sort of crazy to feel so many feelings on different ends of the spectrum and yet be so clear on my plan personally.

I feel very strong and confident for once in a very long time."

This is what's possible when you get out of your head and work with other men.

You can find your lightness.  Find your humor.  Find the part of you who, DEEP DOWN, knows there is joke in here somewhere.

In the long run, you will be just fine.   You will feel strong and confident again.  And you will laugh.

And the men you allow in your life will laugh with you.  Just hit reply to this email if you want to laugh with me and talk for a bit.  Or go HERE to start giving me some background.  It's like an "Easy Button".

And I've got better jokes, I swear.

Lotta love to you, brother,

Steve
