There's something weird that happens when you do this work.
Your wife will pretend not to notice a damn thing about your changes. And she may even push up AGAINST your positive changes as if she is trying to test them.
You see, when a man begins to make major changes in his perspective, his internal energy and his responses to her resistance, she WILL
notice.
She just doesn't trust you.
In fact, even while she is secretly hopeful and slightly attracted to your changes...she feels a bit threatened by them
too.
She may think, What's he up to? Why now? What's he trying to get ME to do? I'm not sure I believe it. Is this really real? Maybe he's got a girlfriend!
And here's another secret.
She will not give an inch on these suspicions until she is absolutely sure that you're not seeking her attention, validation or approval for these changes.
What does this mean for you?
It means you simply have to detach from any and all outcomes you may be hoping for as you do this work.
You must do the work only for you and for no other reason.
You must find your own lane in which you can maintain a high degree of inner peace and security.
Your energy must be light-hearted and positive.
Your happiness is natural and unattached to external sources.
Only then will she muster the courage to tell you, You've changed...and I like it!
And here is the 9-word response I recommend in that moment.
"Yeah, I like it too. Wanna cup of coffee?"
This is just the beginning of a long, upward spiral back to reconnection with her.
She doesn't want or need an explanation. Even if she acts like she wants you to explain, she would rather experience the change than hear you talk about it.
The fact is that we
talk too much most of the time. Talk is cheap.
Our words and professions of love and devotion ring hollow when our behavior has been showing the opposite.
Therefore, simply say, Me too.
