Hey,
There's something that happens to every man who gets drunk on self-help.
He becomes a bad ass in his own head but can't implement shit.
He's gorged himself on all kinds of positive affirmations, bold thoughts and self talk and he's a little too full of himself.
He understands "in theory" the man he wants to be and the relationship he wants to create.
Then...he finds himself standing alone in a room with the object of his frustration and she says "Boo."
Messed his pants. Game over.
Why does this happen to us?
Because we're not ready yet for prime time.
We've fooled ourselves into thinking that if we can just DO something the right way, we will get the results we want.
The problem is that calm, confident and effective masculinity isn't a DOING solution - it's about who you are
BEING.
This what "Paul" learned toward the end of the Confident Man Ranch Retreat
last year. And it's why he's signed up to coming back again this year! Learning to BE a calm, confident and effective man takes time and practice with other men.
You can't just "act confident" and think you're going to make any headway in your relationship.
You must find the source of your TRUE confidence so it
can simply become a way of being.
Women - and horses - can smell the difference a mile away. They detect fear and insecurity at the molecular level!
When we talk about a man needing to know where he is going, we're really talking about a man knowing WHO HE IS GOING TO BECOME.
Tim Wade and I explain more about the question, "Where are you going?" in this video.
