"Something ominous is happening to men in America. Everyone who pays attention knows that. What’s odd is how rarely you hear it publicly acknowledged. Our leaders pledge to create more opportunities for women and girls, whom they imply are failing. Men don’t need help. They’re the patriarchy. They’re fine. More than fine."

The story goes on to give lots of statistics about the decline of men and our failures with education, addiction, punctuality, career success and generally being LESS MALE with dropping testosterone and sperm counts.

I knew it!! Those damn women must have spiked our Powerade sports drink with estrogen just so they can put a bow around their goal of world domination.

Those beeotches!!

Now what do we do? We're pretty much screwed, right?

Just keep drinking their Kool-Aid and join a quilting club since it appears you're totally incapable of work, responsibility and sperm production.

I'll give you my two cents below and, as usual, I will be short, sweet and to the point. You'll notice I'm not wringing my hands over this "news" and I don't want you to either.

That was pretty compelling, wasn't it?

Something horrible is happening and, by golly, there MUST be someone to blame for this. It must be an "oppressor" somewhere who has stripped you of your power and personal agency to create your own reality.

This is a victim mindset and it can paralyze you.

It can stir you up into a hot mess and, eventually, a puddle of a man who can't make a decision or take any responsibility. All you will be able to do is scour YouTube for more evidence that you're screwed and go to coffee shops to discuss the hopelessness of it all.

Or...you can say, "Hmmm...I don't think so, cupcake."

That's what the guy is doing below. He chose to stand outside the Drama Triangle.

When it comes to "bad news" (aka. Drama), most people jump into one of three roles.

The Fox News report is "bad news". It's drama - and that makes for compelling TV and higher ratings.

I don't want you to take the bait.

I don't want you to jump into the role of the helpless victim whose happiness, success and sperm count is in someone else's hands. (bad visual, sorry)

I don't want you to jump into the role of the persecutor who indicts everyone around them for being abusers, oppressors or robbers of your personal power.

And I don't want you running around trying to rescue men with this "sky is falling" news thereby validating their sense of powerlessness and enabling their feeling of entitlement to victim status.

I want you to realize the POWER of "I don't think so, cupcake."

This is the power of deliberately standing OUTSIDE of the Drama Triangle and OWNING your part in creating a new reality around you and those you love.
