Crappy Day Advice From Your Dog (Seriously deep stuff here)

Hey brother,

Anything a man can do in an unhappy frame of mind he'll do much better in a happy frame of mind.

Is "happiness" a random event in your life? Is it something mostly out of reach until a certain number of conditions line up just right for you?

Or is "happiness" connected to acquiring certain things or experiencing certain things? Can good weather cause you to feel happy?

Or is "happiness" simply an occurrence that is disconnected from external events, circumstances, things or people?

Trying asking any dog and he'll show you his calendar. He knows what the forecast has in store for him.

And it has nothing to do with what's going on around him or what he owns.

It's not a prediction of the future. It's a simple declaration.

The calendar is a statement of WHO HE IS.

Dog Secret to Happiness: "At any given moment, I know I'm okay...and I know I'm going to be okay. Being okay is who I AM. I can't run out of okayness. And there are always more balls!" (Dog Abundance Theory)

While we may have opposable thumbs, we are also handicapped with human brains.

The dog brain is designed much more efficiently.

While our brain is constantly scanning our environment for reasons to be afraid, insecure or uncertain...the DOG BRAIN IS CONSTANTLY NOTICING REASONS TO BE HAPPY.

While our brain is designed to notice the things that might be "wrong", the DOG BRAIN NOTICES THE THINGS THAT ARE "RIGHT".

While our "relationship brain" is inventing reasons to to resent our partner, the DOG BRAIN INVENTS REASONS TO LOVE US.

I think that's what we like about dogs. They are a source of predictable joy, dependable happiness and reliable love.

And guess what?

Because of their good nature, dogs tend to create and receive good stuff in return!

I know your human brain is starting to connect the dots. You see where I'm going with this.

If you can gather the courage to assume the best, you'll notice the best.

If you choose to search for what is right in your life, you will naturally FEEL what is right about this moment

If you can decide to be loving, you'll create and attract love.

You're okay. And you're going to be okay.

Now go chase something you want...like a ball or something.
